It is noteworthy that the insurance law was approved in 1937, in Article 1 of this insurance law, there is a contract in which the insurer undertakes to pay the insurance premium to the insured person in case of an accident or damage during the insurance period.
Insurance law is one of the subsets of private law that examines the role and position of the parties to the insurance contract and the rights and duties of each of the parties, as well as the rights and interests that are sometimes created for third parties.
Insurance law was formed at the same time as the initial emergence of insurance, and then with the beginning of insurance operations as an independent profession and its development in recent centuries, especially since the beginning of the 18th century, with the establishment of insurance companies instead of insurers, the real form of insurance started.
In the beginning, insurance rights issues were discussed based on the customs and habits among traders using other regulations and simulating them with insurance issues, and then the need to establish special insurance laws and regulations was considered.
The Association of Florence Insurers was established in 1555, in this association, the general conditions of premium tariffs for transport insurance were regulated and all members of the association were required to implement it. In the 17th century, written regulations for insurance were created in some European countries.
The insurance law is the most important legal source of insurance, which was approved by the Iranian parliament in 1932 in 11 articles, and with the passage of many years and the process of changes, especially in the economic system, the need to prepare a comprehensive insurance law is more evident than in the past, but such as The past is happening.
In Iran, the insurer is in the form of a company and natural persons are not defined, on the other hand, the insured can be a natural or legal person.
